KILLING TIME IN CAMPECHE

So, we arrived late at night in Campeche and booked into the mosquito-infested Monkey Hostel, right on the main plaza. Had dinner and one or two cocktails over-looking the Cathedral and then had a fitful night's sleep, being mauled by the local mozzies. The next bus, to Palenque (the next set of ruins on our itinerary) was at 12.40am the following day, so plenty of time to see the city...

 

By midday we had seen all it had to offer, lovely though it was... so we spent the afternoon and evening eating, drinking, playing pool in the local pool hall, and then more eating and drinking...
